PT BOOKKEEPER

 

St. Joseph Parish in Auburn is seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper to prepare day-to-day fiscal and operational reports. Posts deposits; Prepares month-end reconciliations; prepares checks for Pastor’s signature. Processes vendor invoices; prepares monthly journal entries; reconciles bank accounts and other general ledger accounts; posts adjusting journal entries; produces printouts and reports from QuickBooks at the direction of the Pastor and Finance Council.  Monitors and prepares financial correspondence related to parish ministries.  Maintains accounts payable and receivable files.   Documents procedures and policies.  Proficiency in Quickbooks  required.  Familiarity with the Parish Financial Management Handbook of the Diocese of Sacramento is a plus.  A Catholic in good standing is also a plus.

DIRECTOR/ COORDINATOR OF PARISH LITURGICAL MUSIC MINISTRY (PART-TIME)

 

Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Auburn is seeking a Director/Coordinator of Parish Liturgical Music Ministry (Part-time) to direct, coordinate, and/or accompany music for the Weekend Masses (4-5 Masses), Holy Day Masses, and Sacrament Celebration Masses (e.g. First Communion, Penance Service, and Confirmation)

 

Requirements: a practicing Catholic; a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in music with formation in Catholic liturgy; strong keyboard skills (piano and organ); able to train, recruit, conduct, lead, and direct adult, children and youth choir(s); an appreciation for broad musical tradition of the Church (bilingual skills – English/Spanish a plus); dedicated to promote active assembly participation in worship; attend liturgy and staff meetings.

Salary and benefits commensurate with education/experience and in accordance with diocesan salary scale.

EXPERIENCED ACCOMPANIST

 

Holy Rosary Parish in Woodland is seeking an Experienced accompanist (piano mandatory, organ preferred but not mandatory) to join the music ministry team. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a strong knowledge of the Catholic liturgy and understanding of the assembly’s role in liturgical music. Responsibilities include the 10 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. Sunday Masses in English.  A 32-voice choir sings for the 10 a.m. Mass, so the applicant should be available to rehearse them prior to liturgy.  Parish cantors and instrumentalists are already in place, and music plan ranging from traditional hymn tunes to contemporary pieces will be provided well in advance.  Weekday funerals & Saturday weddings also an option.

Divine Savior in Orangevale is seeking a skilled musician to join our music ministry team.  Ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent experience, piano and/or organ proficiency, strong knowledge of Catholic liturgy, and understanding of the assembly’s role in liturgical music.  A variety of needs exist at Divine Savior, and candidate’s strengths will be matched with appropriate choir and ensemble vacancies.  These include children’s choir, adult traditional choir, contemporary ensemble, and teen choir and ensembles (new).  Responsibilities include directing choir and/or accompanying music for rehearsals and Weekend Masses, Holy Day Masses, and Sacrament Celebration Masses (e.g. First Communion, Reconciliation Services, and Confirmation); music selection, participation in and promotion of parish concert series.
