Scripture Institute 2010-2011
For the past few years, the Scripture Institute has provided a unique forum for gathering, studying, and praying with the inspired Word of God. It is open to anyone and everyone who wishes to participate.
Program Format
Participants may register for individual classes, a complete cycle, or the entire program consisting of three cycles.
Cycle One is devoted to the historical books of the Old Testament. Special attention is given to the role of women in the Hebrew Bible as we look at the stories of Ruth, Judith Esther, and others.
Cycle Two takes up the challenge of apocalyptic literature in the books of Daniel and Revelation. These are some of the most fascinating books of the Bible and belong to a literary genre which attempts to unveil the conflict between good and evil underlying human history.
Cycle Three focuses upon nine New Testament writings: the Captivity Epistles of Saint Paul, written from prison, the Pastoral Epistles of I & II Timothy and Titus, and those letters known as the Catholic Epistles.
Each session consists of instruction followed by a small group discussion of important passages for faith sharing and personal application. All sessions are given by highly qualified presenters with a view toward our ongoing spiritual formation.
