How to Reach Us
Campus Ministry
The Diocese of Sacramento is blessed with three well-established Newman Catholic Communities. A Newman Catholic Community is often seen on college campuses as the primary means for connecting, or reconnecting, students with their Catholic faith life.
The Newman Catholic Community is named for the Venerable John Henry Newman (1801 – 1890) who created a greater understanding of the Catholic Church and its teachings, and helped many with their religious difficulties.
This Catholic student organization celebrates the Catholic heritage through
peer ministry and student activities. Often, the community serves to foster
spirituality and a deeper understanding of the baptismal call, and life
long vocations.
