Young Adult Ministry

The diocesan young adult program serves young adults aged 18 to 35, single or married, with or without children.  Through young adult ministry, opportunities exist to become more connected with your faith, your peers and your Church in Northern California.

Our Philosophy

Sons and Daughters of the Light: A Pastoral Plan for Ministry with Young Adults, a document written by the Bishops of the United States and published in 1996, defines our philosophy for young adult ministry.  It is an extensive document that beautifully addresses young adult ministry in our world today as well as the call to holiness, the call to community and the call to service.  Strategies are provided for developing and implementing programs that facilitate a meaningful faith life for young adults.
