More than 500 youths from 25 parishes in the diocese participated April 17 in the 52nd annual Diocesan Youth Convention held at St. Isidore Parish Center in Yuba City. The theme, ėJourney — One Body in Christ,î was chosen to coincide with the upcoming diocesan synod.

The day included music, prayer, 36 workshop sessions led by 20 presenters on various topics, Mass celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Richard J. Garcia and an evening dance. Paul George, southeast regional director for LifeTeen who has directed parish youth ministry programs in Louisiana and Arizona, was the keynote speaker, using humor, stories and reflections on his own journey of faith.
