Jubilee Year pilgrimage. A pilgrimage trip to St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Vallejo as part of the Solano Deanery Council of Catholic Women meeting. A prayer service will be held at St. Vincent’s, located at 925 Sacramento St., at 11 a.m. A procession into the church will begin at the hall across the street. Members of the deanery and all other Catholics interested in taking part in this Jubilee Year church visit will receive a special indulgence. Join the procession at the St. Vincent’s Hall or if you need a ride from the Vacaville area, be at St. Mary’s parking lot at 350 Stinson Ave. in Vacaville at 9:50 a.m. A meeting and luncheon will follow the prayer service. Family fun festival. At St. Joseph Church at 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Rd. in Elk Grove. Begins at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 with a spaghetti dinner at $5 for adults (children under eight are free). Will also include dancing, silent auction and movie night for children. On Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. there will be food, beverages and family games. Fall festival. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Paul Parish at 8720 Florin Rd. in Sacramento. The event will feature international foods, sweet shop, games, youth activities, arts and crafts and a “fun land” for the children. A country store will offer fresh fruits and vegetables and organizers are planning a sports bar and shaved ice booth. Admission and parking are free. The event will benefit the parish facility fund.
