Bishop William K. Weigand ordained Brian Atienza and Steven Foppiano to the priesthood May 27 in an ordination Mass at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento.

During the Mass, the bishop also ordained diocesan seminarians Enrique Alvarez, Avram Brown and Hernando Gomez to the transitional deaconate.

Effective June 13, Father Atienzahas been appointed as parochial vicar of St. Joseph Parish in Elk Grove and Father Foppiano has been appointed as parochial vicar of St. Clare Parish in Roseville. (See comments by Bishop Weigand on the ordinations in “Feed My Lambs.”)
